Our organic, whole loose-leaf Assam tea contains an abundance of tips from the fresh, green harvests. These kinds of teas are often referred to as “tippy”, meaning they contain a greater portion of both the small leaf buds and the top two leaves from the ”tip” of the tea plant.
Produced exclusively from the highly revered region of Assam in India, this tea is a morning favorite due to its splendid aroma and crisp flavor. Assam black tea is popular and palatable, and it is used as the base in most English breakfast teas.
AROMA AND FLAVOR
The aroma is crisp and rich with a deeply invigorating flavor and malty finish. This amber brew stands up well to milk and sugar. Contains caffeine.
Add 1 teaspoon of tea to a cloth tea bag or mesh basket and place in your favorite mug. Pour 8 ounces of boiling water over the tea and allow to steep for 3-5 minutes. Experiment with the length of steep time and quantity of tea to find your perfect cup. Enjoy on its own or with your favorite sweetener and milk.
